Artichokes courtesy of 'Turnips'.  There are always setting out the produce when I walk through in the morning.  The displays are beautiful, but I've never seen the point of eating artichokes.

The practice of pollarding trees to keep them in trim creates strange shapes, especially here where the buildings have them in half shadow
