French Place Shoreditch

French Place
I assume it's name is connected with the French Huguenots who settled across the way in Spitalfields

Almost there

Broom Road
Not yet in full leaf, that gives the deep shadow of summer...and if you're talking about the walk to the railway station, it's about half way.

Complimentary colours

Broadgate
Greenery is scarce in the City and East London, so thank you to whoever decided to fill the usually windswept and empty square with flowers

Sunset from the Tube

Kew Gardens
In the new carriages the seating faces away from the window, so when there is something good to look at you can't, unless standing up by the doors.  But then London Transport only thought about packing commuters in like sardines, not about the comfort or enjoyment.

Tunnel art

Pindar Street
The neon strips in the tunnel are repeated on the ramp leading to the bowels of the Liverpool Street shopping centre.

Chestnut time

Bunhill Fields
The chestnut trees grow in the graveyard, a welcome oasis of green.

Half way there

Blackfriars Bridge
The flower beds are finished on the northern Embankment, now the bridge itself is getting a well deserved coat of paint.

First sunset

Normansfield
The opportunity for sunsets only lasts a week or so, as the time changes by three minutes a day, and some of those days are overcast and dull.  So although they happen every day, catching them on a commute only really happens three times a year (because the clocks change)

Feature ceiling

Primrose Street
I'm glad they built the walk-through, it's a nicer walk than down Bishopsgate.  I like the ceiling, but I think the rest of the building looks like it was built with a giant Meccano set.
