Different view of the railway

Bushey Park Road
Usually I am in the train underneath this bridge, but now walking over it. We are all polite to one another as it is a narrow bridge and wait for others to finish crossing.

Tunnel train

I know it is a train because of the 'First Class'. But which tunnel, where? Queenstown Road?

Vauxhall in black & white

Vauxhall
It looks deserted, yet this was taken in the rush hour.  It only takes a couple of minutes for the platforms to clear, passengers cramming into the stairwells, onward to bus tube and office

Under the bridge

Clapham Junction
I moan about my own South Western sevice, but I am so glad I don't have to catch Southern Rail

This train is not mine

Raynes Park
Disruptions at Waterloo on a cold evening, when all you (and thousands of others) want to do is get home, 'getting as close as possible' is the best one can hope for. Cram onto the first train going in the right direction. And then standing on a station that is not yours, the calculation, hope one will materialise, or catch the bus?

Passing commuters

The lives and loves of thousands of people pass us by every day.  These are the lucky few, with seats and room to read

Cross the river

Hungerford Railway Bridge
It is called Hungerford railway bridge, because once upon a time there was a Hungerford Market on the north bank of the Thames.  As a child I remember walking right next to the trains, feeling the shake on the bridge as they went past, but now a days pedestrians walk across the Golden Jubilee bridges on either side.

Glimpse

Clapham
I think this photograph looks like it should be a painting

Girl on a train

Wimbledon
Technically it should be two girls on a train, but that won't match the Pete Atkin song

Fused

Queenstown Road
The platform reflected in the train, making it almost invisible as it speeds through the station

The early train

Hampton Wick
My platform is busy, the other almost empty.

Missed it

Hampton Wick
The platform is empty, just for a few minutes.

Under the bridge

Queensland Road
Queensland Road has a rusty iron bridge over which the Southern trains pass on their way to Victoria, in silhouette, neither the rust nor the graffiti under the bridge can be seen
